The Tasting Menu with Tanners Wines · Saturday 5/5/18 · Chester
Tanners is a family-owned, family-run, award-winning and resolutely independent wine merchant which has been trading for over 175 years! It is run by James Tanner chairman, who is the fourth generation of the family to work in the company. Good traditional service is what Tanners is about, but ‘traditional’ in the best sense of the word. The Wine School of Cheshire are proud to feature Tanners wines at the majority of our wine tastings and we’ve put together a great afternoon for you to enjoy at Restaurant 1539 overlooking Chester Racecourse.
We’ll welcome you to The Private Dining Room with a glass of The Gusbourne Estate Brut Reserve Vintage English Sparkling Wine, our House fizz which we buy exclusively from Tanners. We’ll then treat you to a four course gourmet lunch from the team at 1539 and each course will be matched with one (or two!) of Tanners many hundreds of quality wines, some of which will be from their own House label. The Tanner family enjoy long term relationships with outstanding wine producers from around the world and we’re proud to feature some of them with amazing cooking in one entertaining afternoon out.
