Available by invitation, we are proud to welcome Manor House Stables to our wine school family of premium venues.
Manor House Stables near Malaps, Cheshire is set in 160 acres and was converted from a cattle barn by fromer international footballer Michael Owen and his wife Louise, before commencing business in 2007 as a training yard with 30 horses.
Two new American barns were completed in April 2009 and with the existing stables provided for 87 horses on site. There are plans for an additional two American barns containing 42 boxes, taking total capacity to 129. Space, ventilation and comfort are essential features of the design and construction of existing and future stable complexes.
The estate currently offers a grass gallop and several all-weather Safetrack gallops including a 5f straight, a 7f bend and a 1m4f combined gallop. The current grass gallop is in the process of being extended, please see future plans. The newest all-weather five furlong gallop was constructed in April 2010.
An impressive pool and vet centre was added in 2011, enabling onsite care and rehabilitation for all our horses. This veterinary centre is under the supervision of Matthew O’Donnell, one of the UK’s top equine vets. The equine pool has a range of facilities to keep horses at a high level of fitness.
By May of 2009, improvements to the facilities meant it had grown to accommodate 90 horses with an impressive lounge for owners, a brand new office and superb hostel accommodation for the staff. With further expansion in 2012 and continued investment in state of the art facilities, Manor House Stables continues to go from strength to strength.
Manor House Stables offer our corporate clients a truly outstanding opportunity: the owners’ lounge is perfect for client entertaining and a personal tour of the facilities is available to guests joining us.
