As we head towards 2018 I’m thrilled to be celebrating 27 years in the world of wine and what an amazing end to 2017 we have in store!
I’m incredibly proud to be joining Oz Clarke, Olly Smith, Tim Atkin MW and Suzy Atkins at Three Wine Men in Manchester Town Hall where I’ll be presenting ‘Fiziology’ and “The Art of Matching Cheese and Wine’ – I hope to see you there!
This December we are showcasing Windsor Great Park 2014, an incredible sparkling wine made from grapes grown at Her Majesty The Queen’s own vineyard at Windsor. I do hope you can join us at Arighi Bianchi to enjoy a glass.
In the new year I am delighted to welcome Conwy Vineyard to Chester who will join us for a meet the winemaker evening and Spain’s Paso Primero will return in the spring and Amanda Gallou will be back with us in the summer. If you’re planning for the festive season, we have an exciting range of gift vouchers and all our wine tastings are available as gift tickets which we will mail to you within the UK at no extra charge.
Our strong relationship with the English and Welsh wine industry continues to grow and from January we begin a very special relationship with The Gusbourne Estate: all our guests joining us for our signature Saturday wine schools at Restaurant 1539 in Chester and at our fine wine events at The Chester Grosvenor will be welcomed with a glass of Gusbourne Brut Reserve!
At wine school naturally everyone is welcome: wine novice or wine aficionado, an entertaining experience is waiting for all. We are proud to be impartial by not selling wine, so there are no nasty sales pitches at the end of your wine tasting with us. There are no projectors at wine school – our events are far away from the confines of a classroom or a day at the office. It’s all about enjoyable wine education, incredible food and a memorable experience for everyone.
I founded The Wine School of Cheshire to deliver entertainment, education and enjoyment of wine at every event. I’m incredibly proud that we have recently featured in The Daily Mail, reaching its 1.4 million+ UK readers as well as Cheshire Life magazine, The Cheshire Magazine, The Chester Chronicle and The Chester Standard and I continue to write in every issue of The Taster magazine which you will find in the finest cookery schools in the UK as well as via subscription.
At every wine tasting you will enjoy an emphasis on food and wine pairing and at our premium venues such as Restaurant 1539 at Chester Racecourse you will enjoy a mouthwatering selection of dishes paired with my wine selection. I’m proud to feature The Chester Grosvenor, our region’s leading luxury hotel with Michelin star chef Simon Radley, amongst our family of premium venues along with Arighi Bianchi Macclesfield and The Tasting Room at Corks Out Alderley Edge and Knutsford. In January The Colony HQ Wilmslow will be joining us.
Our corporate world of wine tastings continues to grow as we welcome more prestigious brands such as ExxonMobil who join existing clients that includes Marks & Spencer, Azure Collection, Chester Race Company, Airbus and many more.
Do take a look around our website: you may find our frequently asked questions page useful and please do contact us if you’d like to know more.
I look forward to welcoming you personally to every wine tasting event we host in Cheshire along with Doug and Paul at selected tastings. Enjoy your visit and do stay a while to explore.
My very best wishes and Cin Cin!
